Delaware Art Museum's Powwow of Arts & Culture
Each year, the Delaware Art Museum welcomes visitors to its Powwow of Arts & Culture, a vibrant celebration of Native American heritage, traditions, and contemporary culture. This family-friendly event brings together dancers, drummers, artists, artisans, storytellers, and cultural educators from across the region for a day of learning, entertainment, and community connection.
Guests can experience the powerful rhythms of traditional drumming, watch colorful dance competitions and demonstrations, browse handcrafted artwork and jewelry, and enjoy authentic Native foods. Throughout the day, cultural presentations and interactive activities offer opportunities to learn about the history, customs, and contributions of Indigenous peoples.
Set against the backdrop of one of Wilmington’s premier cultural institutions, the Powwow of Arts & Culture provides a meaningful and engaging experience for visitors of all ages while celebrating the enduring traditions and creativity of Native communities.
