Vice President NC Questers
"The North Carolina Questers wish to thank you and all the wonderful people with whom we came in contact during our trip to the Brandywine Valley. Working with you ensured that our time in Delaware was used to the optimum so that our goals as Questers were best met. The program with the Delaware Express coach company allowed us to make the trip affordable for our group. It also lessened preparation time for the trip as we didn't have to worry about directions for the bus driver since he was local to your area and knew exactly where to go and what to do once we arrived. The tie-in with Delaware hotels, that helped defray the cost of bus transportation, was vital in making our trip possible. Most of us traveling to Delaware had never visited your State before. Some of us had traveled through it or landed at the airport, but few of us had actually spent any time exploring and visiting the marvelous places your State has to offer. We all came away with a new appreciation of Delaware and the gorgeous Brandywine Valley! We all kept exclaiming to one another "Who knew?!!" Just as impressive as all the various places in Delaware, were the wonderful people of your State! Everywhere we went we were greeted with smiles and warmth -- with residents, docents and business owners who wanted us to know about their State and feel welcome while we were there. We all came home to North Carolina as new "missionaries" for Delaware! Our trip was a wonderful success and we appreciate your effort on our behalf to make it so. Please thank the Wrights for the tour of their fascinating home, Mike Connally and Susan Richman at Historic New Castle, the wonderful staff at Winterthur, Prince Johnson, Mike Majewski (Brandywine Prime), and most especially Gerry Frenz at Delaware Express and Amanda Amenti at the Doubletree Hotel for everything they did to work so easily and efficiently with us during the planning and execution of our trip. You all are quite a marvelous team!"

As a receptive operator out of Philadelphia we often suggest many different sites and attractions in the Brandywine Valley. Like most operators, we like to work with the sites that will take care of our group and are easy to work with. Some of the sites we like to recommend and feel comfortable with are Winterthur, Longwood, Brandywine River Museum, Brandywine Battlefields and Nemours. There are many restaurants to choose from in the area that will fit most budgets from cafeterias to fine dining. The only complaint I get from clients is "I wish I had more time to spend there."

"The Greater Wilmington and Brandywine area of Delaware have long been a favorite of my customers. The area has everything that you need: beautiful historic homes, gardens, theatres, a train ride, shopping and great food. The group sales people have always been so helpful and supportive of group tours."
Marian Deal-Smith, CTP, Alternative Tours (NJ)
"We love to package tours to Delaware because it is such a diversified state. My personal favorite area is the Brandywine Valley. The Brandywine Valley is rich in Revolutionary War history, rich in art history, rich in the personal stories of famous families like the du Pont's and Wyeths. The landscape is beautiful rolling hills, splendid field stone houses, peaceful enclaves full of precious antiques and world-class museums."
David Eaton, Conway Tours (RI)
"We love bringing our groups to your area! All of the hotels and attractions are so easy to work with and do they love groups! If we ever have a problem coming up with something to do in the area, Sarah is only a quick phone call away and she always has a wonderful idea for us! Keep up the great work."
Virgil Lengel, Lakefront Lines (OH)
The Wilmington Convention and Visitors Bureau has been the most outstanding resource for the planning and implementation of tours into the Wilmington area. They are knowledgeable about their product and so pleasant to work with. Because of the bureau, it is a comfort to know that when we send groups to Wilmington, that they will be in good hands.
Clayton Whitehead, Sports Leisure Tours (CA)
"The Brandywine Valley is a far-too-often overlooked destination, with Wilmington sitting there in the center, the jewel in the crown. At once modern and antique, Wilmington is a city that never fails to please groups I bring her way, and her sales tax-free prices never fail to please me."
