“Where do I park?”
It’s the perennial question for anyone heading into an unfamiliar city, whether you’re planning to dine on Market Street, to catch a show downtown or to explore the sights at the Riverfront.
To help you out, we’ve compiled a helpful guide to parking options in and around Wilmington, Delaware.
There are two primary options when parking in downtown Wilmington — meters and garages. For peace of mind, use the Parkmobile app to reserve a space ahead of time, receive expiration reminders and add time remotely. Parkmobile covers both on-street parking meters and certain garages. Metered parking in Downtown Wilmington is free after 6 p.m. on weekdays and all-day on weekends.
As for garage parking, you will find several elevated and open-air lots throughout downtown Wilmington. These lots are operated by three different organizations – Colonial Parking, Wilmington Parking Authority and SP+.
