Long distance runners from all 50 states and around the world travel to Wilmington in the spring to compete in this USATF certified Boston Marathon Qualifier. The Delaware Marathon Running Festival starts and finishes at the Tubman Garrett Riverfront Park on the Wilmington Riverfront. More casual runners can get into the fun too, with a half marathon, 4-person relay, a 5K and a kids’ fun run all scheduled for the same weekend in late April.
