The holidays are such a thrilling season to experience in Wilmington and the Brandywine Valley. From decked out du Pont estates to nights filled with lights at local attractions here are a few highlights to take advantage of during your #VisitWilm holiday getaway...

1. Winter Nights at Rockwood Park

Walk through the holiday lights of Rockwood Park for the ultimate date night or night out with the kiddos and then enjoy a holiday display throughout the Museum’s first floor illuminated by the lights of the season and candlelight. December 10, 11, 17 and 18. (5-8pm)

2. Elf – The Musical

The Wilmington Drama League celebrates the season with the hilarious tale of Buddy the Elf, a human mistakenly transported to the North Pole inside Santa’s bag of gifts! Dates vary now through December 29th.

3. Riverwalk Lights Display

This year Riverfront Wilmington’s Riverwalk is lit up to celebrate the season! Lights line Hare Pavillion, Public Dock and the connecting Riverwalk so be sure to stroll along to visit the local shops, restaurants and more... you will even be able enjoy live performances at the Pavillion. On December 17th Santa himself will also make an appearance to get those last minute wishes on his to-do list!

There are so many holiday events to take on this season. Where will you go?
