Whether you are heading into downtown Wilmington to catch a show at The Grand, dinner at Bardea or for an important client meeting – "where do I park?" – always comes into question. The following list is aimed at providing helpful parking information for downtown Wilmington, Delaware and surrounding areas.
Downtown Wilmington, Delaware
There are two primary options when parking in downtown Wilmington – meters and garages. Approximately 1,000 of the downtown’s meters work with the Parkmobile smartphone app allowing users to pay via their phone, as well as receive expiration reminders and pay for extended time remotely. In addition, all Wilmington meters also accept coin payments.
If you prefer garage parking, you will find several elevated and open-air lots throughout downtown Wilmington. These lots are operated by three different organizations – Colonial Parking, Wilmington Parking Authority and SP+. Riverfront Wilmington
When visiting Wilmington’s Riverfront district, you will find a variety of parking options including meters, permitted lots and free lots. Lot parking at Riverfront Wilmington restaurants, hotels, and the Chase Center is free. In addition, most events held at Frawley Stadium, including Wilmington Blue Rocks games offer free parking.
