Tourism Impact Program: Strengthening Greater Wilmington Through Tourism

The Greater Wilmington Convention & Visitors Bureau’s Tourism Impact Program connects corporate sponsors with small, independent tourism and hospitality businesses to strengthen and grow the local visitor economy. By fostering these partnerships, the program ensures that Wilmington’s diverse network of restaurants, attractions, shops, and cultural experiences continue to thrive — fueling an industry valued at more than $3.1 billion annually.

Through sponsorship, corporations can directly support the small businesses that make Greater Wilmington unique, while gaining visibility as champions of economic growth, community vitality, and tourism development.

Become a Sponsor Today. Empower Small Businesses for Big Impact.

Through the Tourism Impact Program, local corporations play a direct role in strengthening Greater Wilmington’s visitor economy by covering the annual GWCVB membership dues for four small tourism and hospitality businesses.

Sponsors can choose from a curated list of eligible candidates or nominate businesses of their own that meet program requirements, ensuring flexibility and alignment with their values.

Once memberships are activated, participating businesses gain immediate access to the full range of GWCVB benefits — from marketing and promotional support to networking and growth opportunities — setting them up for long-term success.

At the same time, sponsors are recognized as champions of community vitality, helping small businesses grow and ensuring Wilmington remains a vibrant and welcoming destination.
