Bardea Food & Drink co-owners Scott Stein and Chef Antimo DiMeo are happy to announce they will open Bardea Steak, a new concept located at 608 Market Street, in early 2022. The James Beard nominated restaurateurs are expanding their restaurant group with the addition of a third location in downtown Wilmington.

Bardea Steak, housed in a 5,000 square foot space adjacent to Bardea Food & Drink, will be DiMeo and Stein's modern take on a classic steakhouse.  It will be similar to their approach to the Italian cuisine at Bardea Food & Drink, where traditional "rules" are bent - and often broken - in order to ensure their creativity shines through.  DiMeo thinks of Bardea Steak as a "meat kingdom" where he will cook most dishes in a custom-made open hearth that showcases live fire cooking.  He will also be featuring a number of dry-aged and creatively-aged meats, including a number of steaks that employ the Koji Dry Aging process.  The wine list will be extensive, with a focus on American producers, while the cocktail program, which includes a table side cocktail cart, will be as creative and thoughtful as the one at its sister restaurant.

After two years of hearing from Bardea’s loyal guests' their desire for a downtown steakhouse, Stein and DiMeo decided the time was right to bring Bardea Steak to life. Their goal is to build on the vibrant energy and feel of Bardea Food & Drink and have hired acclaimed restaurant design group Stokes Architect and Design to create the space. Patrons can expect a number of natural elements, including fire, water, and flora throughout the space to provide a connection to the natural world.

Bardea Steak aims to be a welcome addition to Wilmington's vibrant and growing culinary scene.
