June 13 event will benefit Ronald McDonald
House Charities of Greater Delaware.

Get out your Lily Pulitzer pink purse and electric orange shoes because The Brandywine and Peter Kate are teaming up to host the “Palm Royale” Party on Thursday, June 13, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Wilmington, Delaware, restaurant.

The theme is based on the Apple TV+ show. It is 1969, and Kristen Wiig stars as a social upstart trying to break into Palm Beach's high society by any means possible.

The colorful event will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Delaware, which operates the 50-guestroom house near Nemours Children’s Hospital.

“We’re calling all philanthropists and flamingo lovers to get together for a good cause,” said Bill Irvin, owner of The Brandywine. “The show pokes hilarious fun at Palm Beach in its tropical heyday when the clothing was colorfully chic, and the cocktails were icy cold. It’s a great way to kick off summer.”

The Brandywine - Pal Royale PartyThe $100 ticket includes appetizers and complimentary Grasshopper cocktails, which were all the rage in the 1960s.

Before the event, visit Peter Kate, a luxury women’s fashion store in Fairfax Shopping Center, and mention “Palm Royale” to receive a 25% discount.

For inspiration, visit the “Palm Royale” page on apple.com. The cast also includes Laura Dern, Allison Janney, Carol Burnett and Ricky Martin.

“While sleeveless dresses and bold prints are encouraged, wear whatever you wish,” Irvin adds. “The goal is to raise money for a much-needed cause and have a good time.”
