Thank you to everyone who participated in Greater Wilmington & the Brandywine Valley’s second annual photo contest. This year, over the course of three months, we have gathered over 200 submissions from visitors and residents of the Greater Wilmington area. From gorgeous images of du Pont estates to stunning views of Wilmington’s State Parks, and the Riverfront neighborhood, the photos captured by these talented photographers were truly inspiring. We loved seeing the beauty of #VisitWilm through their eyes.
Here’s a look back at our 2022 monthly winners:
August: Lisa Timbers' photo of the gorgeous Winterthur Museum won her two tickets to Nemours Estate.
September: Danielle Lange's photo of the scenery of Russell Peterson Wildlife Refuge surrounding the Du Pont Environmental Education Center won her two tickets to Longwood Gardens.
October: Robert Detweiler's photo of the gorgeous Bruce Munro light show at Longwood Gardens won him two tickets to Nemours Estate.
After careful deliberation...
The Grand Prize Winner is Danielle Lange
Danielle submitted a few truly creative and beautiful images from throughout the Greater Wilmington, Delaware area - images from the Jack Markell Trail, Russell Peterson Wildlife Refuge and Brandywine Creek State Park just to name a few! But the image that caught our eye as grand prize worthy is the image shown below of the gorgeous fall foliage captured at Brandywine Creek State Park.
As a grand prize winner Danielle has won a Wilmington Getaway Package! Including a hotel stay at the Hyatt Place Wilmington Riverfront, a 2023 Brandywine Treasure Trail Passport, a meal for two at Wilma's and a $50 gas card!
