Wilmington is hosting its first-ever Sunday Supper as part of the James Beard Foundation’s Friends of James Beard Benefit Series. The event is Sunday, April 23 at The Chancery Market and starts at 5 p.m. 

Wilmington Mayor Mike Purzcki stated, “We’re thrilled to see the James Beard Foundation recognizing our city and its diversity. We are enthusiastic for this partnership to showcase what Wilmington offers to its residents and visitors alike..” 

The City of Wilmington is making history with this dinner, bringing together chefs and culinary enthusiasts for a night of delicious food and great company. The Chancery Market is Wilmington’s new 12,000-square-foot culinary collective featuring dining experiences from around the world with the event being curated by renowned chef Ahktar Nawab. The evening’s cuisine will showcase dishes from a diversity of Wilmington’s chefs and premier culinary leaders, some of whom are previous James Beard Award nominees. A family-style dinner will follow a one-hour kick-off reception. Participating chefs include: Bardea's Antimo DiMeo, Ciro Food and Drink’s Michael DiBianca, Espresso Coffee Bar, Fuku, Katiroll Wala, Le Cavalier’s Tyler Aiken, Market Street Burger and Dog, Oath 84’s Justin Womack, Piccolina Toscana’s Dan Butler, Rooted AF’s Nikita Thomas, The Juice Joint’s Lanice Wilson and The Quion’s Joe Delago.

Tickets are $200 per person and the attire is Sunday Casual.
