Freedom Fireworks at UD Athletic Complex
Enjoy a beautiful display of color in the sky at the University of Delaware. Vendors and entertainment will begin at 6:00 p.m. and the fireworks show will begin at dusk, approximately 9:15 p.m., and will wrap up around 10:00 p.m. The show will be visible from the FREE parking lots throughout the complex.
Hockessin Fireworks
The Hockessin 4th of July celebration is a beloved community tradition nearly 50 years strong, entirely volunteer-driven and supported by donations. Festivities kick off with morning relays, followed by an afternoon parade, and ends with a dazzling fireworks display on July 4. Popular viewing spots include Swift Park, Piedmont Baseball Fields, Hockessin Library, and Artesian Soccer Fields—arrive early to claim your spot, and enjoy dinner at one of Hockessin’s great local restaurants before the show.

Mayor Carney will kick things off by launching Wilmington’s 250th Anniversary celebration, honoring the city’s rich history as it heads toward America’s Semi quincentennial in 2026.
