The Marshall Steam Museum, located just minutes from the center of Hockessin, Delaware, is best known for housing the world’s largest operating collection of Stanley steam cars. The collection also features a 1916 electric car, and two 1930s Packards. In addition to the incredible car collection, the museum treasures its steam powered 1/8 scale fully ridable train that circles the famed Auburn Heights Mansion.

The Annual Auburn Heights Egg Hunt
Friday, April 7 & Saturday, April 8, 12–3 pm
The spring season brings an egg-cellent hunt to the yard of the Auburn Heights Mansion. Spend the day at the mansion, ride the train, and take your picture with the Easter Bunny! This event sells out quickly so advance registration and payment are required. Early-bird registration for Members begins February 27, with tickets available to the public just a few days later.

Enjoy a day out on the grounds and explore all things trains!
First Sundays June–November, 12:30–4:30 pm
The best way to experience the museum and mansion is to attend a monthly Steamin’ Day! Climb into an antique automobile, board one of the trains, and experience what it was like to travel at the turn of the 20th century. There's something for everyone, age 2 to 92!
Auburn Heights After Hours
Third Thursdays, May–September, 5–8 pm
Check out the museum after hours with scenic views, craft brews and games to amuse! Every third Thursday (May – September) the museum will open up the picturesque grounds after hours (from 5 – 8 pm) with a different food truck, featured group and other fun activities. This year, the Museum will be featuring a new fashion exhibit during the first Auburn Heights After Hours event - Thursday, May 18, 5:00 - 8:00 pm.

Classic Car Show & Garden Party
Sunday, September 24, 12:30–4:30 pm
The annual Auburn Heights Invitational features exceptional motor cars from the dawn of the automotive age through 1969. The event benefits the Joseph Boxler Education Fund, which supports educational programming by the Marshall Steam Museum, and is held rain or shine. What will this year's theme be? You'll have to wait to find out, but rest assured the Museum has great plans already in the works! Keep an eye on their website for specific details!
