Longwood Gardens, one of the great gardens of the world, will soon be undertaking its most ambitious expansion, reimagination, and preservation of their Conservatory and surrounding landscape to date.
Longwood Reimagined: A New Garden Experience is a sweeping reimagination of 17 acres of the Conservatory and grounds. Imagine a new 32,000-square-foot glasshouse that appears to float on water. Immerse yourself in the history-making relocation and preservation of the prized Cascade Garden. Learn in the Garden’s new classrooms and gather in the library. Stroll through their Bonsai Courtyard, Waterlily Court, and new allées of trees and plantings. Indulge in a new dining experience overlooking the iconic Main Fountain Garden.
As the Garden begins to build on this new experience, they will remain open to visitors. The continued horticulture experience expected, every season, includes indoor displays, spring bulbs outdoors, fountain performances beginning in May, and special exhibits that will delight even the most seasoned of visitors.
“We are honored to enhance, steward, and preserve one of the world’s most important collections of gardens and glasshouses … and we thank you, our members, for being part of it all.” – Longwood Team
