One of Wilmington’s favorite independent bookstores, Huxley & Hiro Booksellers, is growing! The beloved shop has announced the grand opening of its second location, The Little Huxley, nestled inside the iconic HOTEL DU PONT (111 W. 10th Street). This new downtown spot will carry a curated mix of books, journals, gifts, Delaware souvenirs, locally made goods, cards, and snacks, making it a must-visit destination for both residents and visitors.

Instead of a traditional ribbon cutting, every resident is invited to join in! Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. when Wilmington will celebrate in true community spirit. Bring your own scissors to help cut the ribbon together! Each visitor on opening day will receive a free swag bag and be entered to win a $100 gift card to The Little Huxley.
