In 2019, Food Network star Guy Fieri and his infamous red Camaro hit the streets of Wilmington to check out several local restaurants. When Guy visited in 2019, he popped into six of our favorites (Farmer & the Cow, Mrs. Robino’s, Locale BBQ Post, Maiale Deli and Salumeria, Stoney’s Pub, and Luigi Vitrone’s Pastabilities) filming Wilmington features for three “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” episodes.
Our guess is he loved what he tasted in the First State because he is back, this time, as a ghost! Guy Fieri’s newest restaurant concept is Flavortown Kitchen, a delivery-only establishment operating out of ghost kitchens (kitchens located in existing restaurants). Flavortown has been launched in 24 states and 26 different locations.
Three restaurants right here in Greater Wilmington are hosting the ghost, handing over part of their kitchens to Fieri:
Brio (Christiana Mall) - 201 West Main St., Christiana
Bertucci’s (Christiana Shopping Center) - 305 Christiana Mall Road, Newark
Bertucci’s (Route 202) - 3610 Concord Pike, Wilmington
If you’re a fan of Fieri or just want to try something new, taste test the Mayor of Flavortown’s ghost kitchen. The menu is relatively small with only 19 options, featuring Fieri’s most famed dishes, and bursting with flavor. Some of the menu items include Bourbon Brown Sugar BBQ Wings, the “Chicken Guy”, and a Bacon Mac n’ Cheeseburger. Guests can order delivery online through the Flavortown Kitchen website and through most delivery services including DoorDash, UberEats, Postmates, and Grubhub.
