Mezzanine Gallery - Myth ExhibitionsStep into a world of imagination and surreal storytelling this spring in Wilmington, Delaware. From April 4–25, 2025, the Mezzanine Gallery at the Carvel State Office Building invites you to experience Myth, Muse & Monster (and Other Nonsensical Oddities)—a fantastical exhibition of digital paintings by Delaware artist J.F. Arsenault. This unique showcase is more than just an art exhibit; it's an invitation to explore the whimsical, the mythical, and the absurd, all while immersing yourself in the vibrant cultural fabric of Wilmington and the Brandywine Valley.

A Delaware native, Arsenault grew up along the coast in Rehoboth, Lewes, and Dewey Beach. His early fascination with monsters, comic books, and nature blossomed into a lifelong passion for visual storytelling. After studying graphic design and fine arts, Arsenault returned to Delaware in 2010, where he continues to create personal and commissioned work. He’s also a frequent collaborator with Dogfish Head Brewery and the Developing Artist Collaboration, further rooting his work in the regional creative community.

J.F. Arsenault’s Myth, Muse & Monster (and Other Nonsensical Oddities) is more than an art exhibition—it’s a portal to the unexpected. Whether you’re a longtime art lover or simply curious about the surreal, this show promises to spark your imagination and inspire deeper exploration of Wilmington’s vibrant arts and culture scene.
