Celebrate New Exhibitions
April brings an exciting lineup of new and ongoing exhibitions that showcase a range of artistic voices and perspectives.
On April 10, Museum Members are invited to a special Member Preview Night, an evening of art, music, and community celebrating the opening of three new exhibitions:
- Citizen Artist (opening April 11) - Coinciding with the Semiquincentennial in 2026, Citizen Artist will meet a moment of national reflection with a celebration of artist workers in America.
- Photovoice - Photovoice is an exhibition that highlights lived experiences through storytelling and photography, using the historic cyanotype process.
- Living Indigenous - Living Indigenous showcases and celebrates the creative contributions of Indigenous artists living in and connected to the Delaware community.
These exhibitions highlight artists as storytellers and visionaries, offering powerful perspectives on identity, history, and lived experience.
Also, on view now:
- The City on Paper - This exhibition highlights 47 works on paper—from etchings to screen prints—depicting city life across more than a century, showcasing 45 artists from the Delaware Art Museum’s collection.
- Jamey Grimes: Aster - Jamey Grimes’ Aster installation transforms DelArt’s Fusco Hall with swirling, synthetic forms inspired by nature, inviting viewers to explore space and movement.
Each exhibition offers a unique way to engage with art. From contemporary installations to historical works that continue to shape today’s conversations.
