One of Downtown Wilmington’s food halls is entering an exciting new era. The Chancery Market Food Hall & Bar has announced a strategic shift in management, with Johnson Commercial Real Estate (JCRE) assuming full operational oversight of the 12,000-square-foot destination. The transition marks more than a leadership change; it signals a renewed commitment to community, expanded programming, and enhanced catering and private event offerings in the heart of downtown Wilmington.

The Chancery Market Food Hall is a premier culinary destination that brings together a diverse range of exceptional food under one roof, thoughtfully curated by award-winning chef and restaurateur…

A Global Culinary Lineup Under One Roof

Since opening, The Chancery Market has built its reputation on variety, offering eight diverse food concepts that make it one of Wilmington’s most dynamic dining destinations. The newest addition, Pizza Al Taglio, joined the lineup in January 2026, bringing brick-oven pizza made with house-made dough and sauce, along with pasta and soups.

Here’s a look at the full lineup:

Complementing the stalls is Nectar Bar, the hall’s indoor-outdoor bar featuring seasonal cocktails, a rotating draft list, and daily happy hour specials from 4–7 p.m.

Whether you’re meeting coworkers for lunch, gathering friends for dinner, or hopping between stalls to try something new, The Chancery Market continues to offer something for every appetite.

Expanded Catering & Private Event Options

One of the biggest developments under the new leadership is a stronger focus on catering and private events. Chancery Market - Catering

The Chancery Market now offers:

  • Two private dining spaces
  • Flexible event layouts for corporate gatherings, holiday parties, and social celebrations
  • Catering packages from all eight vendors
  • Off-site catering throughout the greater Wilmington area

That means everything from plant-based spreads and Mediterranean platters to brick-oven pizza and fried chicken can now be brought directly to offices, homes, and special events.

The expanded offerings position The Chancery Market as more than just a downtown food hall, it’s becoming a go-to venue for celebrations of all kinds.

A Cornerstone of Downtown Wilmington

This transition reflects a broader vision: strengthening The Chancery Market’s role as a cornerstone of Wilmington’s dining and entertainment scene. With expanded programming, evening and weekend events, and a diverse culinary lineup, the food hall continues to evolve alongside the city itself.

For visitors exploring downtown Wilmington or locals looking for a reliable gathering spot, The Chancery Market remains a lively, welcoming hub, now with even more ways to dine, celebrate, and connect.
