Flow Yoga Outdoors at Rockwood 

Outdoor exercise is all the rage this spring season. Put in the work with instructor Mary Ann Quinn Hendrix for an hour of fun and relaxation while learning the art of Flow Yoga. Pack a mat, blocks, towel, water, and your mask! All COVID protocols will be in place to include social distancing, face masks (during class), and temperature checks. Guests will be required to fill out a brief COVID form. Registration is required.  Ages 16-adults

Historic Structure Walking Tours Return for Spring 

Take a walk back in time to learn how the existing and lost structures of Rockwood completed this former working estate. Your guide will be dressed in vintage clothing and will use vintage photographs to provide the history of Rockwood while going from structure to structure. The tour is approximately 90 minutes and covers 1 mile including surfaces of grass, gravel and paved areas. Comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended.  Ages 14-Adults

A Gentleman's House and Garden Tour 

The plants growing in Rockwood's Apothecary Garden are native plants that have been used throughout the ages for medicinal purposes. Tour the garden and discover the connection between healing plants and the inhabitants of Rockwood Mansion.

Rockwood's Beautiful Things - Create a Craft 

Enjoy an afternoon alongside Rockwood staff members Dena Kirk and Marina Rosaio-Roddy for a fun day of creating something beautiful! This program will be held outdoors, weather permitting. In the event of rain, the program will be held in the covered patio area of the Carriage House. Minimal supplies are needed, and a list will be emailed to participants in advance of the program. Registration is required. Ages 16 - Adult

Brunch, Bubbly and Votes for Women has been moved to September! 

Enjoy a brunch buffet of assorted fruits, cheese, pastries, and sandwiches with Mimosas, wine, iced tea and lemonade. Parking will be in the lower lot. A horse-drawn carriage will transport guests through the park, dropping them off at the front of the mansion. 

Circulating models will be decked out in attire that showcases the evolution of fashion from the post-Civil War era into the Roaring 20's. Each ensemble will represent how apparel coincided with women's fight for equality, socio-economic changes of the Progressive Era, and women’s contributions to US Industry and war efforts. 

See exhibits of historic uniforms and paper dress patterns and learn about the health hazards of extreme corsetry. Tour the new Apothecary Sensory Garden, receive a free gift of wildflower seeds, and take home a reproduction “VOTES FOR WOMEN” Suffragette lapel button. 

JOIN the fun at the Suffragette Photo Corner with protest signs, Suffragette sashes and other costume props.
