Wilmington, DEL (April 29, 2015)...Jessica Bittmann, CMP has joined the Greater Wilmington Convention & Visitors Bureau as Director of Sales. She will be responsible for marketing Greater Wilmington and the Brandywine Valley area to meeting planners in the Association and SMERF markets. Her focus will be bringing meetings, conventions and special events, including weddings, to the area. Bittmann will also be responsible for the Group Tour market.
Bittmann has been in the hotel industry for 13 years and has experience in the tour and travel market, catering, corporate group and transient sales. She received her Certified Meetings Professional designation in 2010. She is a member of the Business Travel Association and has served on special event committees with Meetings Professional International. She is also involved with the local chapter of Meals on Wheels.
Jessica Bittmann moved to Delaware in 2006 and lives in Wilmington with her husband and two children.
Sarah Willoughby, Executive Director of the GWCVB, is enthusiastic about Bittmann. She says "Jessica brings a wealth of knowledge about the region, including from her personal perspective as a GWCVB member. She joins us at an exciting time and will continue our marketing efforts."
