WILMINGTON, Delaware (July 12, 2022) – Locals and visitors can access discounts, deals and special offers at nearly 30 restaurants, shops and attractions through a new mobile discount pass offered by the Greater Wilmington Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The all-digital Wilmington & the Brandywine Valley Discount Pass can be downloaded at no cost from VisitWilmingtonDE.com. There are no special apps needed to use it. When visiting participating businesses, users simply download individual offers from the mobile pass-specific website bookmarked on their phones and present their phones to redeem the offers. The pass also includes an interactive map that enables people to search offers by geographic location.

The Wilmington & the Brandywine Valley Discount Pass will be available on an ongoing basis with no end date. Discount pass users should check back frequently as participating businesses can add or update offers at any time.

The Bureau released the pass in advance of the BMW Championship PGA tournament, August 16 – 21 at the Wilmington Country Club. Backed by a digital ad campaign targeted at tournament attendees, the pass will help drive traffic from the event to surrounding businesses and attractions. The event is expected to attract more than 130,000 spectators.

Jennifer Boes, executive director of the Bureau, said, “This mobile-exclusive pass is much easier to use and update than the former paper version. The collection of offers from curated attractions, retailers, restaurants, entertainment venues, spas and more will help leisure travelers, our residents and those here for meetings and conventions experience more of what we have to offer.”

Participating businesses and attraction include the Back Burner Restaurant & To Go Shop, Bootless Stageworks, Brandywine River Museum of Art, Brandywine Zoo, Buffalo Wild Wings, Currie Hair Nails and Skin, Delaware Art Museum, Eggspectations, Go Ape Zipline and Adventure Park, Hagley Museum and Library, Harry’s Savoy Grill, Historic Odessa Foundation, Jersey Mike’s Subs (select locations), Lafate Gallery, Morgan’s of Delaware, New Castle Historical Society, Old Swedes Historic Site, Poppycock Tattoo & Piercing, Stone Balloon Ale House, Taste Kennett Food Tours, The Candlelight Theatre, The Delaware Contemporary, Timothy’s Riverfront Grill & Wilmington Hall, Wilma’s, Wilmington & Western Railroad, Wilmington Brew Works, and Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library.
