Brandywine Festival of the Arts
(September 8-September 9, 2012)
The Brandywine Festival of the Arts has been a perennial favorite for over 50 years.  This year's festival will be held on September 8th and 9th in Josephine Gardens in Wilmington's Brandywine Park.  Typically listed among the top 100 national shows, this event attracts hundreds of visiting artists and craftspeople.  Although the show is juried for quality, it is not pretentious.  Remarkable, one-of-a-kind pieces in a variety of media are available at an equally wide range of price points. Delaware Saengerbund Oktoberfest
(September 21-September 23, 2012)

Fringe Festival
(September 26-September 30, 2012)

Vendemmia Wine Festival
(Sunday, October 7, 2012; Rain Date: Sunday, October 14, 2012)
The Vendemmia Festival is Wilmington's biggest fall party.  On Sunday, October 7th, More than 2,500 wine aficionados are expected to gather in Tubman Garrett Park on the Wilmington Riverfront to celebrate the Harvest of the Grapes. Chrysanthemum Festival
(October 27-November 18, 2012)
Chrysanthemums take center stage at Longwood Gardens from October 27th through November 19.  During this festival, more than 200,000 chrysanthemums are arranged in amazing configurations inside the four-acre indoor Conservatory.  Cascades of chrysanthemums drape the walls while spiral chrysanthemum forms climb skyward towards a towering, three-tier chandelier constructed of vibrant yellow chrysanthemums hanging from the Conservatory ceiling.  Outside, chrysanthemums, gourds and giant pumpkins decorate the grounds.  For more information, go to www.longwoodgardens.org  or www.visitwilmingtonde.com.
