Information provided by meeting planners and other travel professionals are reviewed by the Greater Wilmington Convention & Visitors Bureau staff to follow up on requests and develop future business. Events booked in the Greater Wilmington, DE are usually printed in the Greater Wilmington Convention & Visitors Bureau Convention Calendar unless that event is specifically marked confidential. If a meeting is confidential it is our policy not to list it on any distributed information. The Greater Wilmington Convention & Visitors Bureau also uses provided information for internal purposes such as e-mail contact. It is the policy of the Greater Wilmington Convention & Visitors Bureau to provide information received via RFPs only to local properties that fit the stated meeting specifications.

The Greater Wilmington Convention & Visitors Bureau reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, modify, add or remove any portion of this Agreement, in whole or in part, at any time. Social Media Policy

The Greater Wilmington Convention & Visitors Bureau (GWCVB), also recognized as Wilmington & the Brandywine Valley or VisitWilmingtonDE supports and encourages open dialogue, sharing of information, photos, videos, links, and other posts across all our social media channels. However, the GWCVB monitors all comments and reserves the right to remove, hide or edit content and block users at our sole discretion. Comments posted on our social media channels do not represent the opinions of the Greater Wilmington Convention & Visitors Bureau, its members, employees or affiliates and we shall not be held responsible for inappropriate content submitted by other users.

Content that will be removed includes, but is not limited to:

  • Spam
  • Abusive, defamatory, obscene, profane, sexually suggestive, or otherwise objectionable language
  • Fraudulent, false, deceptive, or misleading statements
  • Violation of any intellectual property rights or privacy rights of another
     

The Greater Wilmington Convention & Visitors Bureau reserves the right to turn off comments completely on highly sensitive subjects.
