Horseback Riding in Wilmington, D

The Brandywine Valley is truly horse country. Delaware parks offer miles of horseback trails through beautiful landscape, with modern equestrian facilities at BELLEVUE and LUMS POND state parks. Riders on the Equestrian Trail at Bellevue will pass through the Bellevue Woods Nature Preserve, garden plots, the Percheron Barn, while the beautiful 8.1-mile Little Jersey Trail at Lums Pond takes an outer loop through the park, passing through both wooded and open areas.

Family rides are available at stables throughout the area, with saddles ready for everyone from beginner children (and beginner adults) to lifelong riders. And in season, horse enthusiasts will certainly enjoy a Sunday afternoon match at the BRANDYWINE POLO CLUB. Kids will enjoy stomping some divots between chuckers. Adults will too.
