The Grand Prix, which takes place on May 16th sends top professional and amateur races through a grueling course in Downtown Wilmington. On Sunday, May 17th professionals, amateurs, and biking enthusiasts get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ride the Gan Fondo, a multi-tiered ride through some of the Mid-Atlantic's most beautiful byways including exclusive access to the private roads of many top attractions.

Why You Should Make it to the Wilmington Grand Prix

Grab the kids and head on down to Market Street at noon on May 16th for the annual parade of bikes, and after enjoy not only the race but over 23 activity options from the 500 block up to 10th street. There is something for everyone from the Craft Beer Garden at the 900 block to the far-flung bungee on 10th street! On Saturday, May 17th, make it a date-night, or head on out with friends and enjoy music and refreshments at Grand Prix partner nightspots: Chelsea Tavern, Ernest and Scott‘s Tap Room, DiMeo‘s Pizza, La Fia & World Café Live from 5:30-8:30 PM.
