Wilmington Burger Battle LogoIt's baaaaaack! The 2nd annual Wilmington Burger Battle will take
place at Twin Lakes Brewery in Greenville, Delaware on August 24th from 12 - 4 PM and will bring the area's top chefs and eager diners together in this summer's most anticipated culinary event. Admission prices include food, beer tastings (for guests 21 and over), soft drinks and music. To date, this year's list of competitors includes 2 FatGuys, BBC Tavern and Grill, Catherine Rooney's (Newark), Ernest & Scott Taproom, Home Grown Café, Restaurant 55, Redfire Grill Steakhouse and last year's People's Choice Burger winner, Union City Grille - the event promises to be a throwdown of epic proportions.

Burger ImageThe battle royale will pit restaurants in the greater Wilmington area against one another as chefs compete for top honors in categories like Best Burger, Best Alternative Burger, People's Choice and Critics' Choice. Those looking to support a "competition for a cause" will be happy to know that proceeds from this outdoor, rain-or-shine charity event support the Ministry of Caring's Emmanuel Dining Room-a local no-cost dining hall which helps address the immediate needs of Delaware's hungry by serving nutritious meals to those in need. The Kenny Family Foundation, a local non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the community, is again one of the proud sponsors of the event.

Last year's battle welcomed over 400 hungry burger lovers and raised over $4,000 to fight hunger in the First State. Esteemed local sports legends and a panel of ‘Delebrities' (Delaware celebrities) served as judges as they sampled a whopping 18 burgers! This year's Burger Battle is expected to draw even larger crowds, so guests are encouraged to purchase their tickets quickly.
