Brandywine Arts FestivalFor more than 50 years to date, Wilmington Delaware has been providing the masses with their fill of arts and entertainment via the Brandywine Festival of the Arts. If you haven't had the opportunity to join the 20,000+ annual visitors, 2014 is definitely your year. Hundreds of critically acclaimed and cutting edge artists will line the streets in celebration. There will also be live jazz music and delectable cuisine for all to enjoy. If your idea of a good time involves shopping, dining, dancing and artistry, the Brandywine Festival of the Arts will provide you with an eclectic blend of all of the above.

Getting To and From the Festival

Brandywine Arts FestivalThe 2014 Brandywine Festival of the Arts will be held in the Brandywine Park in Wilmington, Delaware. If you need an address to type into your GPS, the following will put you right in the center of the action:

If you are traveling from up North, take 95 S. to exit 7B where you will turn right on Gilpin Avenue, right on N. Van Buren St., and slightly right onto N. Park Dr. Bear in mind the fact that I-495 is shut down until further notice so an early arrival might be called for. Those of you heading in from a more southern region will take 95 N. to exit 7 and follow the signs that lead toward the Baynard Stadium. Both the Baynard Stadium and the Old Wanamaker Building are featuring free parking to accommodate festival-goers. There will be a limited number of handicap spots on the park grounds for visitors with special needs.

Date and Admission Information

This year, the festival is being held on Saturday, September 6th from 10 AM to 6:30 PM and Sunday, September 7th from 10 AM to 4 PM. Admission is unbelievably low at just five dollars per person with children 12 and under getting in for free. Your five dollar bill will grant you access to innovative exhibits, a wide variety of vended goods, two days of delightful music and so much more. Featured artists will be on site with sculptings, woodwork, paintings, leather crafted wares and jewelry. While it is advisable to bring cash along with you, ATMs will also be available on-site.
