The Delaware History Museum is currently closed for major renovations and expansion. The anticipated re-opening in March 2016 will include the new Center for African American Heritage. For more information on the improvements please visit dehistory.org/sesquicentennial-campaign. Doing research? Visit the Research Library, across the street from the museum and still open during construction! For more information, directions and hours please visit dehistory.org. Also make sure to visit the historical society’s historic house museum, the Read House & Gardens in Historic Old New Castle just 20 minutes from downtown Wilmington.
