Peoples' Festival 4Peace Tribute to Bob Marley

Enjoy activities at the Children's Village, an International Food Court, Peace Pavilion, Healing Garden, Bamboo Hut, Arts & Crafts from around the world and a Noon-Time Drum Circle. Peoples Festival was born from the love shared between two friends and their families. Ibis Pitts and Bob Marley lived and worked in Wilmington. This tribute to Bob fulfilled Ibis's desire to do something meaningful to continue to spread Bob's message. The One Village Alliance mission is to foster and promote cultural diversity; through music, the arts and educational programs for the purpose of creating Peace, Unity and One Love in our communities as we were inspired to do by our beloved friend and bredren, The Honorable Robert Nesta Marley, O.M. Our list of productions include: The Cultural Expo, Cinco de Mayo Celebration, The Miss Mexico Pageant, Mexican Independence and Kwanzaa, among others. One Village Alliance is our host 501- C3 not for profit agency. This collaboration is perfectly fitting. The CEO and Visionary of OVA has worked with The Peoples' Festival since its inception. Together we continue to work year-round to bring quality, entertaining and educational events, that promote a better, more holistic way of life for residents of the City of Wilmington and our region.
