“I can think of no place in America I would rather hear this type of opera than Wilmington’s Grand Opera House.” So said Opera Today magazine after the 2017 OperaDelaware Spring Festival. Every spring, the nation’s 11th-oldest opera company produces a schedule that allows operagoers to see two main-stage productions in a single weekend, staging tributes to Rossini, a celebration of Puccini’s Il Trittico, and modern masterpieces like Scalia/Ginsburg and Dead Man Walking.
