    The host and creator of the public radio program This American Life, Ira Glass shares lessons learned from his life and career in storytelling during Seven Things I Learned. Beginning his career as an intern at National Public Radio’s network headquarters in Washington, DC in 1978, Glass aired This American Life in 1995; it is now carried on more than 500 public radio stations and boasts a following of over 2.2 million listeners and another 2.5 million downloading each podcast. Under his editorial direction, This American Life has won the highest honors for broadcasting and journalistic excellence, including six Peabody Awards. As one of the editors of the podcasts Serial and S-Town, Glass has championed the style of narrative journalism found in a new generation of podcasts and radio shows.
