Printmaking and Nature

Four 2-hour classes. Explore the beauty of the natural world using a variety of printmaking techniques in this easy and enjoyable class. Printmaking has been around since ancient times as not only an artform but also as a scientific tool to record plants for research. In printmaking, an image is created on one surface and then transferred to paper, like using a stamp or a stencil. In this class you will learn different printmaking processes, such as relief and monotype, while creating pictures of landscapes, flowers, insects and other nature themes. If you love learning new skills and want to be a part of a creative community engaged in making and sharing, then this class is for you! Additional $20 material fee. Ages 18+
