Come experience an exciting organ performance by the most recent winner of the Longwood Gardens International Organ Competition. Joshua Stafford received the $40,000 Pierre S. du Pont First Prize in June 2016, winning the judges' notice with his artistic skills and command of the Longwood Organ. Stafford is a Curtis Institute of Music and Yale School of Music alumnus.
Joshua Stafford is the Director of Music at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Morristown, New Jersey, where he conducts multiple choirs. He received a Bachelor of Music Degree from the Curtis Institute of Music in 2010 as a student of Alan Morrison and a Master of Music Degree from the Yale School of Music in 2012 as a student of Thomas Murray and Jeffrey Brillhart. In demand as a recitalist and improviser, Joshua has performed at many notable venues on the east coast and has been featured on NPR's Pipedreams and WRTI's Wanamaker Organ Hour.
