Middletown Olde-Tyme Peach Festival

Peaches were the cash crop that once filled railroad cars in pre-Civil War Delaware, starting Middletown’s first population boom in the 19th century. Today, this town on the outskirts of Greater Wilmington still loves its peaches. At the Middletown Olde-Tyme Peach Festival in August, there’s a peach parade, a peach car show, a peach pie contest, and many more ways to celebrate the scrumptious stone fruit.
