    Born in Bogota, Columbia in 1929, Julio daCunha earned his Master of Fine Arts Degree at Cranbrook Academy. He moved to Delaware in 1956 and taught at the University of Delaware until his retirement in 1994. The influence of Arshile Gorky, Paul Klee, Pablo Picasso, Roberto Matta, and Francisco de Goya is evident in daCunha's art. The exhibition is part of the Delaware Art Museum's Distinguished Artist Series and is assembled from the museum's collection, public institutions, and private collections and showcases the impact daCunha had on the community in which he lived.
