Christmas in Odessa, a 55-year-old tradition, is a self-guided tour of private homes and public buildings in Historic Odessa, many of which date back to the 18th and 19th centuries. All the private homes are decorated to the hilt for the holidays. The Historic Houses of Odessa are also open. The rooms in the Corbit-Sharp House are filled with scenes from The Secret Garden, Christmas trees decorated like children's storybooks are on display inside the Wilson-Warner House, and hearth cooking demonstrations are offered in the Collin-Sharp House. In addition, there is a craft shop, an antique shop, a fresh greens sale, and concerts throughout the day. The Women's Club of Odessa sponsors the event and uses the proceeds to award scholarships to graduating senior students in the MOT school district.
