Fridays from Memorial Day to Labor Day, the Mt. Cuba Center Gardens are open until 8 P.M. for Picnic Nights
Unwind in style this summer at Mt. Cuba Center’s stunning gardens and grounds. On Fridays between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the botanic garden stays open until 8 P.M. for Picnic Nights to give garden guests the opportunity to picnic, relax and unwind in the best happy hour in the region.
Refreshments, including wine, beer, and snacks, are available for purchase on-site, and guests are welcome to bring their own picnic. Guests may picnic throughout the gardens as long as beds and paths remain clear. Picnic blankets will be available to borrow from the front desk.
On select Fridays, Twilight on the Terrace brings local musicians, breweries, and food trucks to Mt. Cuba Center. Programming at each Twilight on the Terrace event is unique, and includes lawn games, garden tours, and hands-on crafts. Dates for the 2019 Twilight on the Terrace events are: May 17, June 21, July 19, August 16, September 6.

Mt. Cuba Center is a botanical garden located in Hockessin, Delaware. Over the past 80 years the gardens at Mt. Cuba Center have evolved, transforming fallow cornfields into thriving, ecologically functional landscapes, thanks to the initiative of Mr. and Mrs. Lammot du Pont Copeland.
