M- Mead and Cider Tours and Tastings
You don’t want to miss out on a tour of Liquid Alchemy Beverages. Go behind the scenes of how meads are made at Delaware’s first and only craft meadery. Then, taste the goods for yourself! A – Art…Music…Engineering!
The name may not exactly start with “A” but with the Activities and Adventure Ahead…It counts! Design Zone at the Delaware Museum of Natural History is the newest interactive, hands on exhibit for all ages. Get creative with art, music, math and more while you put your imagination to the test! R- Rooted, Revived & Reinvented: Basketry in America
Have you ever thought about the origins of basketry? Yeah, neither did we…until now! Biggs Museum of American Art provides a unique collection and visual take with their American made and Delaware used items. Explore art that is rooted, revived, and reinvented while learning more about the historic presence of everyday items in our lives today. Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 9am-4pm, Sunday 1:30-4:30pm
C- Curtains
Enjoy dinner and a show at Candlelight Theatre. But be careful, we hear things don’t always go as planned… on opening night there was a MuRdEr! Laugh along and solve the “Who Dun It” mystery in this comedy musical based on the book by Rupert Holmes. (March 16th -April 20th. Show dates and times vary.)
H- Hagley’s Invention Space Station
Shoot for the stars at Hagley Museum! Create an invention of your own, go in depth to see what makes machines work and of course make a fashion statement in your spacesuit. “Houston, we may have a problem.” - There are only two more weekend excursions! March 2, 2019, March 3, 2019 (1-4pm) and March 9, 2019, March 10, 2019 (1-4pm).
March’s Featured Event
We couldn’t go and leave you in March without mentioning all the fantastic local breweries and bars that are bound to show you a good time for St. Patrick’s Day. Enjoy the festivities all weekend long starting with Wilmington’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 16th. Come party like the Irish do in a sea of green and with an overly enthusiastic crowd. Drink up lads and lassies!
