2. Ice Skating on the Riverfront RinkHorizon Riverfront Rink

January means winter fun around every corner. Join in as downtown Wilmington’s Constitution Yards Beer Garden transforms into our very own version of Rockefeller Center where you can ice skate along the Christina River at the Riverfront Rink. 3. Posing Beauty in African American Culture at the Delaware Art Museum

For those slightly colder days, plan a little indoor art adventure. Curated by Deborah Willis, Ph.D. “Posing Beauty” explores the contested ways in which African and African American beauty have been historically represented. This exhibition inside the Delaware Art Museum will be on display through January 26th.

4. STEMtastic Weekends at Hagley Museum

6. Disney’s Newsies at the Delaware Children’s Theatre  

“Extra, extra read all about it.” From January 11-26th the Delaware Children’s Theatre is presenting Newsies, the Tony award-winning musical teaching kids to seize the day and fight for what’s right!

7. Orchid Extravaganza at Longwood Gardens

Beginning January 18th, the winter beauty of Longwood Gardens comes to life with a sea of gold, and swirls of salmon. Wander through breathtaking collections of color and texture also known as the garden’s Orchid Extravaganza.
