When you think of visiting Delaware, the first thing that may come to mind is “What is there to do? It’s a small state so it can’t have many attractions to visit or restaurants to try. Right?”

Wrong!

It’s become a running joke amongst us locals because people are quick to say...  “there’s nothing to do here”. But if you follow our page, or visit for yourself, you know that’s just not true!

Just check out what’s coming in April 2022.

Celebrity Chef Brunch – April 24th

This annual Meals on Wheels Delaware fundraiser will be celebrating its 25th year, April 24th at the Du Pont Country Club. This tasty event brings together local and nationally acclaimed chefs to feature their cuisines and skills in the kitchen to support meal delivery programs to homebound seniors in Delaware. Enjoy an array of delicious brunch bites, fine wine and brunch cocktails, live entertainment, an auction and more!

Delaware Running Festival– April 24th

Now if you’re going to make the tough choice to skip out on the Celebrity Chef Brunch on April 24th, head to Wilmington’s Riverfront where the annual Delaware Marathon will take place. Whether you’re a runner or a fan, there will be plenty of fun and festivities for all!

Blue Rocks Games – Opening Weekend begins April 8th

On the opposite end of the Riverfront from the Marathon  lies Frawley Stadium, home to Washington Nationals’ affiliate team, the Wilmington Blue Rocks. The Blue Crew will throw out the first pitch April 8th as they slide into their 30th season. Don’t miss out on firework nights, giveaway days and more. Check out the full promo schedule here.
