The Delaware Contemporary is excited to present "Magnifying Glass" with the Corning Museum of Glass Mobile Hot Shop
The Corning Museum of Glass (CMoG) Mobile Hot Shop takes the live glassmaking experience on the road, bringing the artistry and education of glassmaking to the public. The Mobile Hot Shop uses unique glassmaking equipment to recreate a state-of-the-art studio environment and presents complex hot glassmaking techniques at venues around the world. The Delaware Contemporary, located in Wilmington's Riverfront neighborhood, is thrilled to be one of them. This unique glass experience includes live demonstrations, audience participation, and celebrity appearances!
The art of glass blowing is truly fascinating! CMoG Mobile Hot Shop will present 45-minute glass blowing demonstrations throughout their visit to The Delaware Contemporary. Audience members will be seated under a tent with close views of the process and additional TV monitors will be available to allow for up close views of the process.

This event features Iron Hill Brewery beer tastings paired with the glassware for each brew. The Corning Museum of Glass (CMoG) Mobile Hot Shop will present the artistry of complex hot glassmaking techniques. This unique glass experience includes complimentary beer tastings, lite bites, glass blowing demonstrations, and CMoG glassware raffle baskets!

While the Corning Museum of Glass Mobile Hot Shop is doing demonstrations outside, step into the Delaware Contemporary for Through a Glass, Darkly, an exhibition curated by three guests curators, Kristin Deady, Jenna Lucente, and Alexander Rosenberg. The Museum-wide exhibition includes new and recent works by artists working with glass and glass-related materials and processes, exposing the material's dual nature.
Each gallery focuses on a different facet of glass, from a naturally occurring material, to its use in technological advances, to its relationship with the human body.
