With the BMW Championship around the corner, the Wilmington Country Club will provide an amazing opportunity to see the game’s best, but why watch when you can play yourself? There are plenty of public courses throughout Greater Wilmington that will provide a great golf experience. 

Deerfield Golf Club

Deerfield Golf Club is located in Newark, Delaware, and provides an 18-hole, par-70, championship-quality course. Equipped with a Pro Shop to fit your golfing needs, Deerfield allows for a fun and easy day of golf. The fun doesn’t just include a round but food as well! After a great day on the green, you can stop into their Pub & Grille for some good eats and even better drinks.

Delcastle Golf Club

Delcastle Golf Club is located in Wilmington, Delaware, and provides a challenging yet enjoyable round of golf for all experience levels. The course is a par-72 championship quality course with large fairways and exceptional greens. Delcastle also provides its own driving range which is located less than five minutes from the course itself. The range is equipped with 10 covered stalls and 40 other driving stations for you to work on your game before hitting the course.

Ed Oliver Golf Course

The Ed Oliver Golf Course is located in Wilmington, Delaware just minutes from downtown, and was built where the first Wilmington Country Club was originally located. The historic course is a sight to see, especially when approaching the 18th hole where a 100-year-old chimney still stands from the original conception. The course comes equipped with a clubhouse and golf shop where you can buy apparel or get your clubs repaired. As an added bonus, if you get hungry after your round you can stop into Greenhill Pub for some food and drink. 

Rock Manor Golf Course

Rock Manor Golf Course is another beautiful course to fit every golfer’s needs in Wilmington, Delaware. This course was recently upgraded and renovated into a 6,405-yard facility. With new bunkers, tee boxes, and greens you will surely enjoy playing a round of golf here. In addition to their new facility, Rock Manor also plays host to an indoor golf simulator. In the simulator, you can play prestigious courses like Pebble Beach or just focus on perfecting aspects of your game. Whether playing on the course or in the simulator, make sure to grab a bite to eat at the On the Rocks Pub located in the clubhouse.
