We have some exciting news! Six of our attractions will be featured on the Discovery Channel’s Road Trip Masters this Saturday, May 2 at 7 a.m. If you are not an early weekend riser, be sure to set your DVR to tape the episode. It promises to be a great one showcasing some of the best our region has to offer.
The segment highlights the historic town of Odessa and some of the treasures in and around it. The places that will be featured are Historic Houses of Odessa, the Miller-Dunham House Bed and Breakfast, and Cantwell’s Tavern in Odessa; Battle Axe in Newark; Fort Delaware in Delaware City; and Hagley Museum & Library in Wilmington.
Road Trip Masters features schoolteachers Nick and Brian on their tour of small town America in a 1968 gold drop-top Cadillac. In each episode, they get up close and personal with the awesome people and places that make this great nation rock.
We were really thrilled when they decided to film Greater Wilmington and the Brandywine Valley last year. Now we can’t wait until this weekend to see the episode. For a sneak peek, go to https://vimeo.com/412048977.
