Shopping

From high-dollar electronics, to jewelry, to five-star dining and a night out on the town, it's all tax-free in Delaware. That's right, shopping, dining, and entertainment are all tax-free. It's the perfect place to stretch your hard-earned dollars. Whether visiting on a shopping excursion, weekend getaway or business trip, Delaware shopping has it all.

Conveniently located off I-95 and just minutes from neighboring Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland, is Christiana Mall, Delaware's largest and one of the top shopped malls in the country. Just north of downtown Wilmington and a stones through from the Pennsylvania border you'll find the 90 store Concord Mall.

Not to be overshadowed by the malls, Greater Wilmington and the Brandywine Valley boast a number of unique boutiques and shops that can be found in equally as unique towns such a Greenville, Centreville, Hockessin and Historic New Castle. And on weekends, you won't want to miss the New Castle Farmers Market, a modern day treasure hunt with lots of indoor shops and a sprawling outdoor flea market.

For souvenirs, fine arts, and one-of-a-kind creations don't miss the area's fine museum shops and art galleries - some of which rival small department stores. The Delaware Art Museum, Winterthur Museum, Delaware History Museum, Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts and Hagley Museum all offer marvelous shops. For hand-made works, regional, and national finds don't miss the wonderful galleries at Andre Harvey Studio, Creations Fine American Craft and Somerville Manning Gallery.

To round out your tax-free shopping adventure, be certain to check out one of our many annual fairs and festivals such as the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsman Fine Craft Fair and the Brandywine Festival of the Arts.
