Celebrate Spring in Greater Wilmington.
Spring has sprung in Greater Wilmington and the Brandywine Valley. Temperatures are on the rise, flowers are in bloom, and everyone is heading outdoors. National Public Gardens Day

10 am - 3 pm
Mt. Cuba Center will be open for strolling from 10am to 3pm. Experience woods, ponds and formal gardens. Bring your family - there will have activities for children. Admission is free for the day. More information. Wilmington Garden Day

Wilmington Garden Day is celebrating its 65th year of benefiting economically-challenged children in New Castle County. This year's tour includes homes and gardens new to our guests, as well as some old favorites including the Goodstay Gardens, a site from our very first tour in 1947. More information.

Wilmington Flower Market

Founded by Mrs. A Felix DuPont in 1921, the Wilmington Flower Market is a fun-filled three-day event at beautiful Rockford Park. This year's event features fun & entertainment for the whole family including a large selection of plants & flowers for your garden, a multitude of market merchants, crafters, rides, games, food & more. Wildflower, Native Plant & Seed Sale

Every year, on Mother's Day weekend, the Brandywine Conservancy's garden volunteers celebrate spring with the Wildflower, Native Plant and Seed Sale. The volunteers always present a superb selection of carefully cultivated plants for sale. None of the plants are collected from the wild. More information. A Day in Old New Castle

A Day in Old New Castle is the oldest home and garden tour in the United States. Each year for the past 87 years, tourists from across the region have enjoyed the chance to step back in time to the historic era when New Castle served as the capital of the fledgling colony of Delaware. Winterthur's Point-to-Point
Steeplechase Racing Tradition
The 34th annual Winterthur Point-to-Point Steeplechase races bring the culinary arts and elite horse racing nose-to-nose with rich tradition. Celebrity chefs Dana Herbert and Jennifer Behm will be serving up cooking demonstrations and tastings, and everyone can raise a glass in toast to Winterthur's new exhibition Uncorked! Wine, Objects & Tradition at the Hunt Brunch Tent and the Tasting Tent concession stand.
Kids can enjoy special activities in the Winterthur Hunt area where the chefs' tent will be located, and you can enter to win a wonderful grand prize. So pack a picnic lunch or a tailgate spread, bring the family, and take in the splendor of spring at Winterthur! More information.
41st Annual Brandywine River Museum Antiques Show
This event features outstanding antiques from across the nation. Hosted by the Museum Volunteers, the dealers present a variety of American and English furniture, glass, metalware, ceramics, folk art, quilts, Oriental and European porcelain, rugs and other fine collectibles. $15 fee includes museum admission. Proceeds support the Museum Volunteers' Art Purchase Fund, which has contributed more than 200 paintings, drawings and prints to the Museum's holdings since 1975. More information.
