Glorious Gardens
Our gardens are resplendent and run the gamut from charming, private retreats to a world-class horticultural extravaganza.
Read House & Gardens
Mixed within the old-world charms of Historic New Castle you will find many small private gardens as well as the Read House and Gardens, a 22 room federal mansion and formal garden on the banks the Delaware River.
Hagley Museum & Library
E.I. du Pont's garden at the Hagley Museum and Library has been lovingly recreated with painstaking attention to historical detail. This beautiful garden sits on 235 acres along the Brandywine River and includes the original Du Pont Company powder mills & the first Du Pont family home in America.
Longwood Gardens
Known to many as the world's premier horticultural showplace, Pierre Samuel Du Pont's Longwood Gardens offer breathtaking displays year-round. Set on 1050 acres just minutes from neighboring Historic Kennet Square, Longwood's offerings go far beyond horticulture and include fine dining, concerts, fountain displays, shows and more.
Winterthur Museum, Gardens & Library
Founded by Henry Francis DuPont, Winterthur is the premier museum of American decorative arts and its 60-acre naturalistic garden is among the country's finest. Winterthur offers the choicest plants from around the world all in a natural setting that includes rolling hills, streams, meadows, and forests.
Nemours Mansion and Gardens
Nemours is arguably North America's finest formal French garden and includes a centerpiece one acre reflecting pool with 157 jets at the center shooting water 12 feet into the air.
Mt. Cuba Center
The Mt. Cuba Center is a 650-acre nonprofit horticultural institution offering a naturalistic garden design and native plants at their best. Mt.
