Wilmington Location:
On I-95, halfway between New York City and Washington, DC -- 100 miles each direction. 33% of the nation's population is within 350 miles of Wilmington.

 

State of Delaware:
2nd smallest in nation. Population: 830,364. One Congressman, two Senators and ONE Vice-President! 

Tourism:
Nearly 8 million people visit Delaware annually, 2.4 million visit the Greater Wilmington and Brandywine Valley. The area has more than 40 museums and attractions and hosts 83 annual events.
New Castle County: Population 519,396 - largest population and smallest area (438 square miles) of Delaware's three counties. (Kent - in middle - and Sussex - in south - are the other two.)

Major highway access:
I-95, I-495, I-295 (Delaware Memorial Bridge), and New Jersey Turnpike

Air access:
PHL/Philadelphia International Airport (20 minutes by car). ILG/New Castle County Airport - private planes - (10 minutes by car). BWI/Baltimore-Washington International (90 minutes by car.)

Moderate. Average temperature in the summer is 76 F (24 C) and 33 F (1 C) in winter. Snowfall is moderate and is most likely to occur January through March. Annual rainfall is approximately 45 inches.
