Transportation Incentive

The Greater Wilmington Convention & Visitors Bureau is offering the largest transportation incentive in the Mid-Atlantic region. Receive up to $50,000 towards your transportation needs when Greater Wilmington is your host location. You'll also enjoy no sales tax on meeting room rentals and food & beverage as well as a strategic east coast location with convenient access via air, rail and auto.

Assistance Includes

  • Transporting attendees to and from the airport
  • Transporting attendees to and from the train station
  • Transporting attendees to an off-site event or attraction
  • Transporting attendees to and from the area by bus
  • Transporting attendees to a central meeting location from different hotels

Are You Eligible?

  • You must be booking an overnight event
  • The event must generate a minimum of 100 room nights

How to Apply

  • The planner/organizer must contact the GWCVB PRIOR to signing a contract
  • The event must go to contract with a New Castle County,
    GWCVB member hotel.
  • A copy of the signed contract, credit card authorization
    form and transportation requirements must be received
    by the GWCVB
  • Once the above is received, the GWCVB will negotiate price and help set-up transportation arrangements with a GWCVB transportation provider

*Funding is awarded on a first come-first serve basis and is not guaranteed. Restrictions and qualifications apply. 100 room minimum applies to non-city-wide events. Minimums may vary for city-wide events or other New Castle County, Delaware locations. No funds will be released until after the event has occurred and actual generated room nights are verified. Any remaining balance not covered by the transportation incentive will be the sole responsibility of the contracted event planner/organization. Complete terms & conditions to be provided prior to contract.
