Come enjoy some of Greater Wilmington's best outdoor adventures. Spend a relaxing afternoon tubing, canoeing or kayaking down the scenic Brandywine River. Explore miles of serene hiking, biking and horseback riding on trails that loop through the lush Brandywine countryside. Bike our Scenic Byways and Greenways; some roads even have bike lanes.

Nature and birding enthusiasts love exploring our forests, rivers, parks and campgrounds. Make sure you leave time to swing the clubs at one of our nearby championship courses or play some tennis.

When the sun goes down, try your luck at the slots or the races. Delaware Park Racetrack & Slots Casino features live Thoroughbred racing and lets you play with more than 2,000 slot machines.

NASCAR comes to Delaware in June and September. The track in Dover is less than an hour away.

Get extreme at Blue Diamond Park with BMX, Motocross racing and more. (Enjoy the roller coaster and miniature golf, too!)

Action sports lovers catch the crack of bats, the swish of nets, and the roar of the crowd as touchdowns arrive in the end zone. The University of Delaware's Blue Hens have an outstanding record - and many of the world's best Olympic ice skaters train here, too!

Don't miss Billie Jean King's World Team Tennis action in June when the Delaware Smash plays other professional teams from across the nation.

Root for the home team! The Wilmington Blue Rocks baseball team, an affiliate of the Boston Red Socks, plays at Frawley Stadium on Riverfront Wilmington. You'll enjoy seeing future major leaguers in action.

Sports lovers also shouldn't miss the outstanding exhibits at the Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame, also at Frawley Stadium. From the Negro League's "Judy" Johnson to Olympic champions in a variety of fields, you'll be surprised at the contributions Delaware's athletes have made at national and international levels of competitive sports.
